From Me to You

I’m almost at the end of my January stash buster and have had a blast dusting off old and unused stamps, papers and embellishments. Funny thing is is that I’ve been creating some of the cards I’ve been most happy with, ever.

I seemed to have  trained myself into thinking that new stuff = inspiration. Perhaps it’s because a lot of the things I’ve been using are so old that they feel new again lol. Or maybe it’s just because I’ve been enjoying watching supplies run down as opposed to hoarding them. Or perhaps I’m just learning to be inspired by little things like this photo from pinterest.

The paper on this card, which I made last night but was too tired to blog, are from the Papermania Birdsong paper pack. I’ve tied some East of India paper string around the card front and adhered a button which is from a vintage button collection I bought from eBay. It reminds me of a Werther’s Original lol

I think the one thing I’ve learned from this year’s challenge is that I should only buy images one at a time. Because I use one of the few Ive bought, and then forget about the rest, even though I had to have them at the time. This is one of the forgotten "victims" of multiple image syndrome (hehe). It’s called Toby Tumble, Is that for me? and is from Cuddly Buddly. I’ve coloured the image with Derwent Coloursoft pencils and used some Sakura clear glaze on the dog;s nose to make it look like a shiny wet nose. The sentiment is by Personal Impressions
