So Thoughtful

Sometimes a card sketch catches both my eye and my imagination. The sketch over at Just Us Girls this week did exactly that and it also provided a perfect opportunity to break open my new Basic Grey Serenade paper pad and element stickers.

This is the sketch

and this is my card

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with that huge flower sticker when I saw it on the sheet but it looks lovely hanging off the centre panel like that.

The papers are all from the Serenade collection and the sentiment stamp is by AmyR Stamps.

I machine stitched around the perimeter of the patterned papers and added touches of bling here and there. I applied glossy accents to the blue “buds” and then sprinkled some glamour dust over the glossy accents so they’re both shiny and sparkly.

I carried the sketch over into the inside of the card too

Sending Love

Autumn is definitely here! the mornings are staying darker for longer and the evenings are drawing in, the wind has picked up and is blowing the lovely coloured leaves from the trees. there’s a proper nip in the air and everyone is coughing and sneezing!  so with all of that, (and now that my hands are cooperating and doing what my brain tells them to) I’ve made a get well soon card but without the usual get well soon sentiment, Instead of get well, I’m sending some love instead.

another sign of autumn in my light tent becoming a firm feature in my photography again since grey skies does not equal great photos!

This pretty little digi stamp is a freebie which you get as a subscriber to the Jellypark club. Don’t worry, you won’t be bombarded with spam and unwanted mail when you sign up. You’ll receive a smattering of newsletter with a freebie digi stamp available with each one

I;’ve used kraft and white bazzill cardstock on this card, along with some beautiful pink patterned paper from Basic grey’s paper cottage collection. The ribbon is from fantastic ribbons and I added an MME brad to the centre of the ribbon for some bling. For a bit more sparkle, I  went around the heart (which was die cute from a Nellie Snellen die) with some stickles and as if that wasn’t sparkly enough, I then added some glamour dust :)

seeing double

Apologies for the lack of posts on my blog, there’s been a lot of stuff going on…

new challenge day at Charisma Cardz and this challenge is my pick of themes – to use more than one image on your card/project.

Lisa Charisma Seeing Double Card

I’ve used the adorable Kiki digi stamp by Tiddly Inks and I flipped the stamp and shrunk it a little to make it look as though the two Kikis are snuggled up. I coloured the stamps with Spectrum Noir pens (love them! so easy to use and blend).

The papers on the card are by Studio Calico and the gems and ribbon are from stash. Oh, and the alpha stickers are by Lilybee designs and are a bit of a staple in my craft room at the moment!
