Because I knew that I was going back to work on Monday after having quite a lot of time off with my neck and shoulder, I thought I’d spend some time at my craft table this past weekend to get some strength back in my left arm which has been weakened because of the trapped nerve. So this is what I made.

For ages now I’ve been wanted to try a sunburst background using patterned paper but was a little intimidated by it. I’m a slap it down and stick it on kind of girl and this involved using a ruler – shock horror! I used papers from Simple Stories on this card and put my Sewing Machine to good use

Super happy with how this turned out. The stamp is a digi by Pollycraft whic I have coloured with Promarkers. The tag behind the image is from the Simple Stories paper pack and the ribbon is from eBay.

Next I made this card using the Groovy Lava lamp digi stamp from Meljen’s and team it with some Life of the Party paper pad by Basic Grey

I added my own doodles around the image to tie it in with the stamp.

And now for something completely different! I rarely, almost never use my stash on myself. Rarely make anything for myself in fact but after buying a notepad on Sunday, I had an urge to alter it – so I did! I should have taken a before photo but here is the “after”

I’ve added a few little bits to it since then and decorated the back, inside cover and added a closure device so that it doesn’t get too tatty but I have been using it almost like a smash but for everything that I need to remember. lists I need to make etc.

I made it through my two day working week with nothing but a bit of tiredness so I’d call that a bit of a result!
