Mayzy Art Appreciation Day

Mayzy was away for a while but now she’s back and with a new store to boot (instant downloads anyone??) but before the challenges start again next year, the design team are showcasing some our projects this weekend.

Before I show you my card (my favourite Mayzy Art card – EVER!), let me share some info with you on how to get your hands on Mayzy Art digi stamps.

Firstly, if you love a bargain, you can head over to the Mayzy Art Etsy shop and grab some stamps for half price! and;

Secondly, if you want to see (and purchase) the newly released stamps, head over to Mayzy’s NEW STORE. Mayzy’s stamps are still a bargain over there too and once you’ve paid, you can download them instantly!

So, here’s that card I mentioned earlier. I am more of a trekkie than a Star Wars geek but I could not resist using this image!

Lisa Card Mayzy Art Meant to Be

This image is one of the freebies which you can download from the Mayzy Art Freebie blog.

Bit of a departure from my normal cards as I don’t normally colour in grey scale. I coloured the image with Derwent Coloursoft pencils, blended with a Promarker blender pen. The patterned paper is by BoBunny and the twine is from Divine Twine. For a pop of colour, I punched out two hearts, added a foam dimensional between them and then applied red stickles to the top heart.

I do love this card, I’m a bit of an old romantic really!! and the story of Han Solo and Leia is nothing if not romantic – even if he is a scruffy looking Nerf herder! Smile

Would you like to win two Mayzy Art digis of your choice? One person who both leaves a comment on this post and adds their name to the linky below (so I can do a random draw) will be chosen at random to win two MA digis! Please be sure to add your correct email address to the comment form because that’s the address I will be sending off to Mayzy on Monday.

You have until midnight PST to link up (giving you all maximum opportunity to do so).

Please visit the rest of the design team girls (Shelby, Jo, Jo Ann, Shari, Darlene) as well as the Mayzy Art challenge blog for more inspiration.

and totally not compulsory, but I’d love it if you followed me on twitter, instagram and/or my facebook page! If you'd like me to follow you back, leave your twitter/instagram name and/or facebook page link in your comment :)

Family Matters

Hi everyone. It’s the turn of the clean and simple DT ladies at JDE to provide some inspiration this week at Jackson’s Digital Expressions. I hope you will join in with the CAS challenge. The theme this week is FAMILY MATTERS and this is my card, made using the Daddy and Me digi stamp by Robert Jackson.

I have coloured the stamp with Promarkers and Derwent Coloursoft pencils. The papers on the card are from the Basic Grey Plumeria paper pack and the brad is also Basic Grey but from the Archaic collection.

Good morning to you! I slept like a log last night. I think my body goes into hibernation mode when it’s cold like this.

It’s new challenge day at Charisma Cardz and the theme this week is Things with Wings. As long as you have a winged beast or beauty on your project, you can enter it! We’re sponsored by Crafty Emma’s Store and Crafty Ribbons and Washi Tapes and you can find details of the prizes over at the challenge blog.

I’ve used the Papermania Urban Collection stamp set on this card and some Kanban border stamps. I also used the embossed resist technique on the butterflies. Inks used are Stazon and Spun Sugar Distress Inks and I finished the card off with some Divine Twine in Cotton Candy.

Don’t forget to visit the challenge blog for the inspiration from the rest of the DT and to link up your projects!
