I’m joining in with the Inspired By challenge again this week. I had to think about what the card I was going to make and how the picture was inspiring me.

My initial thought was to make a pocket card but they’re not my favourite and I’m trying to hone the CAS thing this year so my next thought was to take the colours and geometric patterns from the pictures instead. This is what I came up with.

I actually followed one of the sketches on the Unscripted Sketches blog for this card. The papers are all from the MME Dilly Dally paper pad and I chose it for the colours which match the jacket in the pic (apart from the navy blue). I added some MME and Echo Park brads and some paper lace trim. The sentiment is by AmyR and I trimmed to red flower out from one of the sheets of paper. I finished the card off with some lines. I was going to doodle them but I thought that straight lines with a ruler would just enforce the geometric theme even more.
