A Bit Special

We have a special link up challenge this time at PCJ.We are linking up with the Send a Smile 4 Kids challenge blog. If you don’t know about the good work these people do to put smiles on the faces of children who are in hospital, then click here for more details.

I am sponsoring the challenge too so if you want to win £10/$15 gift certificate to the online store of your choice, just link up your child oriented paper craft projects over at PCJ!

Here’s my card, using a digi stamp from Pollycraft

Cute! It was so sunny yesterday that I re-took the photo outside.

The papers on this card are by Pink Paislee and I’ve used a Kaisercraft corrugated cardboard tag for some texture. The image is coloured with Letraset Promarkers and Derwent Coloursoft pencils.

Love Machine!

It’s challenge day for Team Carlyann again today at Charisma Cardz and the theme this week is Love is in the Air. Now. I know Valentine’s Day has been and gone but how many of you have told your loved ones that you love them every day, not just on Valentine’s Day? Time to show them some extra love and you could be the lucky winner of the prizes on offer from our sponsors this challenge.Joanna Sheen and the Digistamp Boutique.

Here is my card. This was my Hubby’s Valentine’s card.

love machine - love is in the air

Image: Pollycraft | Sentiment: Pollycraft | Cardstock: Bazzill | Patterned Paper: Crate Paper | Medium: Derwent Coloursoft pencils, Uniball Signo white gel pen | Embellishments: Cherry Divine Baker’s Twine, Sticker from Basic Grey Bittersweet Collection Kit, Glossy Accents

I trimmed the blue paper to size and then printed the Pollycraft sentiment directly onto it. I coloured in the heart in L?ve and applied glossy accents over it.

The robot digi stamp is also from Pollycraft and I’ve coloured him in with Derwent Coloursoft pencils. Again, I applied glossy accents over the heart, rose and “ears”

We have a kind of standing joke that I can’t seem to make a card without adding something pink – totally not true but that was hubby’s perspective, so for the past three Valentines, I have added pink to his card. I must admit, I struggled a bit to think how to incorporate pink into it, but then I happened across the Basic Grey Bittersweet stickers from the collection kit and just had to use the thought bubble! Fortunately, it doesn’t look out of place on the card :)

Challenges

Don’t forget to pop over to Charisma Cardz to link up your LOVE-ly (geddit??? hehe) creations!

‘Tis the Season

Hello everyone and a happy Sunday to you!

I spent yesterday dismantling and packing away bedroom furniture with hubby and then turning the spare room into craft room proper – boy was is knackering work but so, so worth it! I now have a craft room instead of a corner of a spare bedroom! Yay! :)

I’ve Christened the new get-up by making a Christmas card.
