seeing double

Apologies for the lack of posts on my blog, there’s been a lot of stuff going on…

new challenge day at Charisma Cardz and this challenge is my pick of themes – to use more than one image on your card/project.

Lisa Charisma Seeing Double Card

I’ve used the adorable Kiki digi stamp by Tiddly Inks and I flipped the stamp and shrunk it a little to make it look as though the two Kikis are snuggled up. I coloured the stamps with Spectrum Noir pens (love them! so easy to use and blend).

The papers on the card are by Studio Calico and the gems and ribbon are from stash. Oh, and the alpha stickers are by Lilybee designs and are a bit of a staple in my craft room at the moment!

Because Some Girls Don’t Like Pink!

Hello all. I had today off and have spent it watching program on BBC iPlayer whilst crafting the day away. I’m just going to share another birthday card for you which was inspired by a tweet. Apparently, the gender association of blue for boys and pink for girls has only been around since the 1940s so being the contrary person that I am, I’ve made a blue girly card.

Dog Tag

Isn’t it funny how things come in phases. I seem to be firmly stuck in a tag making phase at the moment. I’m not sure why, but all I can see when I close my crafty eyes is tag designs.

I was going through my digi stamps and looking at the many stamps I’ve never used. Unbelievably, this cutie is one of them! And I know why I downloaded it, it looks exactly like Meadow did when she was a pup. The stamp is Kiki by Tiddlyinks.

I’ve just coloured her lightly with a dove grey and white grey Derwent Coloursoft pencil. Sometimes I think images can be over coloured. Less is more with this one, definitely.

I stamped up the black cardstock with a Inkadinkado heart stamp which I then heat embossed in clear embossing powder. The heart paper is by Fancy Pants and I’ve wrapped some bakers twine from Divine Twine around the tag. A few gemstones, a paper rose and that’s it!
